Garfield, N.J.- Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills is launching its latest jacquard decorative fabric development under the brand Fresca Tela™; it is designed to fill a need in the healthcare market.
The new high performance fabric answers the demands of baby boomers and their parents for a warmer, more luxurious living environment combined with high performance qualities, said Irwin Gasner, president and CEO.
Fresca Tela™ is a blend of 100% solution dyed nylon warp yarn and an array of filling yarns using post-consumer polyester yarns as well as the company's established Bela-Dura boucle and chenille solution dyed olefin yarns. Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills has replaced its former solution dyed olefin supplier, American Fiber & Yarns with Fiber Technology of Dalton, Ga.
A key feature of the Fresca Tela™ collection is that the fabrics are bleach cleanable - an element that is considered a needed product for this growing market, Gasner added.
The debut consists of about 30 patterns, and more will be added immediately. Price points are $12 to $20 a yard for loomstate, and extra for healthcare processes such as Crypton.
